Twitter confirms Spaces will be made available globally by April

Twitter came out with a new feature named Spaces recently. Spaces is an audio chat room like that of Clubhouse. Earlier this month, Spaces was made available for Android users of Twitter. Unfortunately, the feature is not yet available in every country. It has been rolled out in selective countries only.

According to the latest news, Twitter has now confirmed that it is looking forward to make the Spaces available to all of its users by April 2021.

From late February, Twitter started testing the feature for Android with 1,000 users. From earlier this month, it has started rolling out the feature to more users around the world. Twitter said that as of now, Android users would not be able to host Spaces. However, they would be able to join and talk in there. The company has also revealed that very soon Android users would be able to host Spaces.

With Spaces, users will be able to create public and private audio chat rooms on the microblogging platform. Spaces was first announced in last December but till late February, it was limited to iOS platform exclusively. Now, it is expanding to more users. Twitter said that these are early days for Spaces and as of now, Twitter is giving priority to build moderation so it is taking a cautious approach to bring new features.
