Last week, Tuxedo Computers had come up with its AMD powered Pulse 14 laptop and now it has announced two more remarkable laptops, Polaris 15 and Polaris 17. It must be noted that Pulse 14 is an ultra-light Linux laptop. The company said that Polaris 15 and Polaris 17 both are 100% Linux compatible laptops which were specially optimized for Linux gamers. Both the laptop come with pre-installed Linux operating system. According to Tuxedo Computers, users will be able to choose between either AMD Ryzen 4000H or Intel Core i7 CPUs.
Pulse 15, which was launched just a week ago comes with a 15 inches 144 Hz full HD IPS display with matt black body. The laptop is 19.9 mm thin and the chassis is made of Aluminum metal. Pulse 15 weighs 1.9 kg. The device is powered by 62 Wh batteries which have the potential to power the device up to 6 hours or 10 hours depending upon total idle state.
The 15 and 17 in the Polaris models represent screen size so. Apart from the screen size, there is no other difference between Polaris 15 and Polaris 17. Polaris 17, the heavier of the two weighs only 2.5 kg.
Note that the Intel Core i7-10750H processor comes with 6 cores and 12 threads. Each cores has a clocking speed of up to 5 GHz. On the other hand, AMD Ryzen 5 4600H comes with 6 cores and 12 threads and each cores have a clocking speed of up to 4 GHz.
The laptops are equipped with NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1650 Ti with 4 GB GDDR6 VRAM and GeForce RTX 2060 Refresh with 6 GB GDDR6 VRAM respectively.
The laptop comes with up to 2 Tb storage space along with two M.2 slots. There is one USB 3.2 Gen Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, and one HDMI 2.0 port.
