According to the latest news, Tesla has launched a new social platform on its website for taking ‘actions on behalf of Tesla and the movement for cleaner energy’. The new microsite is named ‘Tesla Engagement Platform’. It features information about how Nebraska residents can help support the company’s push to allow direct sales and service in the state, and upcoming owner events. It also comes with detailed information about the fundraising program for disaster relief in Texas following the recent winter storm.
The first post on the new microsite ‘Tesla Engagemnet Platform’ reads “Engage Tesla is a new platform for both Tesla’s public policy team and Tesla Owner’s Clubs”. The site reads, “Its goal is to create a digital home base for all of our work, and make it easier for Tesla community members to learn what’s top of mind for us, take meaningful action, and stay in the loop.”
Tesla Engagement Platform users will be able to like and comment on posts. They will also be able to follow individual accounts to stay up to date with comments of other users.
With the introduction to the new platform, Tesla is also closing the long standing forums section of its website. Today, there are plenty Tesla related forums all over the internet but Tesla’s own message board was previously one of the first places where owners and potential buyers could gather and discuss about the company’s products.
Unfortunately, this message board was unmoderated for a long time so it constantly led to problems. A notice at the top of Tesla’s message board appeared this week conveying the forum will become read only from 15th March onwards. The notice reads, “To continue the conversation with the Tesla community, visit engage.tesla.com.”
