With the launch of its latest iPhone 12 series, Apple boasted a lot about its magnet based wireless charging technology, MagSafe. Users can attach various kinds of accessories and iPhone 12 cases on the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 Mini apart from the Qi supported wireless MagSafe chargers so a third-party accessory maker has now come up with the world’s first pair of MagSafe compatible snap-on TWS earbuds dubbed as Snapods.
Snapods are a unique pair of earbuds. They come in a MagSafe supported charging case that snaps on to the back of the iPhone 12 with the help of magnets.
So users will be able to carry the earbuds at the back of their smartphone and take them out instantly whenever needed. This unique feature makes Snapods the world’s first snap on TWS earbuds.
Snapods come with a sleek and compact design and they are IPX5 water-resistant. The magnetic charging case looks like a bulkier version of Apple’s MagSafe enabled leather wallet.
The Snapods can snap on to the back of any smartphone. It comes with Qualcomm’s 3040 Bluetooth 5.2 chip and uses its proprietary “TrueWireless Mirroring” tech to automatically detect what is playing on the other bud and starts playing the same. It uses the aptX codec to deliver “CD-like music” quality.
Snapods offers up to 5 hours of playtime with a single charge. The company claims that the snap-on charging case extends the battery life up to 45 hours. The best part is, apart from charging via USB Type C port, this unique charging case also supports wireless charging.
The Snapods come with a price tag of US $69 only. You can order your Snapods through the current Kickstarter campaign.
