An alleged Redmi smartphone with a 5G connectivity and 90 Hz display refresh rate appeared on the Chinese smartphone certification authority website TENAA. Earlier this month, Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 10 series globally, and among those smartphones, only one smartphone had 5G connectivity, the Redmi Note 10 5G, but there were no intentions of Xiaomi to launch the same in the China Mainland, but the recent TENAA listing suggests quite the other way around.
According to the famous leakster Digital Chat Station(via Chinese Microblogging site Weibo), the newly listed device seems to have similar specifications as the Redmi Note 10 5G global edition. The smartphone is expected to have a bigger 5000 mAh battery and a 90Hz display refresh rate which was missing from the global unit. Other than these, the device has the exact same specification as the global Redmi Note 10 5G.
Although we tried searching the listing on the website by using the old trick where we can replace the G letter with the C letter for China-specific variant/model of any smartphone, but it didn’t work, that means the listing was removed from the website or this time Xiaomi used a different and unique model number of the smartphone.
In case you missed the Redmi Note 10 5G (Global) specification, it was made official on the 4th of March this year. The smartphone features a 6.50-inch FHD+ LCD display. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The Dimensity 700 is an octa-core (4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for better graphical performance.
In the camera department, the smartphone is equipped with a triple camera setup at the rear and a single punch-hole camera setup at the front. The triple rear camera setup includes a primary 48-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, a secondary 2-megapixel macro sensor with an aperture of f/2.4, and finally a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. And in the front, it has an 8-megapixel wide sensor for selfies.
