The first model called Huawei Sound X, the first speaker crafted by Huawei was announced back in November 2019 at the MatePad Pro launch event. Huawei Sound series of speakers are the company’s flagship smart speakers. Earlier this year, Huawei has showcased it once again at the P40 series launch event. The company also introduced a Platinum edition of the device shortly.
Last month, at the Mate40 series launch event, Huawei unveiled the second model. The model was named Huawei Sound. Now, a well-known tipster has suggested that the Chinese tech giant is looking forward to bring a ‘Pro’ model soon.
Note that the Huawei Sound X and Huawei Sound smart speakers are co-developed with a French audio technology company named Devialet. Huawei Xiaoyi AI voice assistant powers these Hi-Res certified speakers. They also offer a stereo experience when two units are paired together.
The design of both these smart speakers Huawei Sound X and Huawei Sound are inspired by Apple Homepod. In terms of design, the only difference between the two models is in their size.
If the Pro variant rumors turn out to be a reality then the Pro variant might come with similar features apart from a handful of bonus features such as better sound quality.
Leakster confirmed on a Weibo post the existence of this product but did not reveal any details about its features and branding. As of now, the naming is not yet confirmed either by the leakster or by the company. As per industry rumors, the device might be called Huawei Sound Pro or Huawei Sound X Pro.
Since the company unveiled the last two speakers at its biggest launch events of the year, it can be estimated that the company might come up with the Pro model at the P50 series launch event. Huawei might also launch the device earlier if it is thinking of launching some flagship tablet or smartphone before the end of the year.
