It is confirmed! OnePlus 9 series isn’t that far away from us. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau posted a teaser on his Twitter handle for an announcement scheduled for March 8. Right now OnePlus should have announced the launch date of the next OnePlus flagship smartphone, i.e., the OnePlus 9 series but instead OnePlus is organizing an event for announcing the launch date. We already have seen these types of marketing tactics performed by many big OEMs, but it is the first time with OnePlus. OnePlus is creating a great hype of the upcoming OnePlus 9 series, now we have to see that whether they will be successful in maintaining the level of expectations from the users.

CEO Lau posted the teaser by saying, “Stay tuned on March 8”, with an event page on the official OnePlus website. The website link uses the “Moonlight” keyword, and the teaser says, “Something new is on the horizon”. I think this is something to do with the new cameras on the Pro variant. The CEO already promised that this time it will a camera phone, and will be equipped with the best cameras within the range.
The teaser shows a picture of planet Earth from the Apollo 8 mission, called the Earthrise. In case you don’t know about the Earthrise, it is a photograph of Earth and some of the Moon’s surface that was taken from lunar orbit by astronaut William Anders on December 24, 1968, during the Apollo 8 mission. At that time, the photo was taken by a Swedish company using a Hasselblad camera, and according to rumors OnePlus might be partnering with them for the best camera sensor.
A few more pieces of information came into existence, according to the famous tipster Max Jambor (@MaxJmb), the company will be revealing the launch date of the new OnePlus 9 series on March 8. Whereas Indian tipster Mukul Sharma says that the OnePlus 9 series is going to launch on 23rd March. Well, these are just rumors, lets wait for March 8 for more accurate information.
