There is no doubt that OnePlus is going to announce its next-generation flagship smartphone, i.e., OnePlus 9 next year. The schedule of every year is almost fixed, leaks from year-end, i.e., November-December, a possible sneak peeks at CES, and then final announcement in the months of April-May. But the thing that should be noticed is that this year OnePlus might be launching three different models, as per the current leaks posted on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo.
We are already getting some vital details and specifications of the upcoming OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro alongside the surprising revelation that there’ll apparently be a 3rd mystery device within the series, which could find yourself possibly being an OnePlus 9 Ultra smartphone. Five model numbers are posted, with one concerning the regular OnePlus 9, three for the pro model (could be three different RAM + storage configurations), and one for the mystery device.
- OnePlus 9: LE2110
- OnePlus 9 Pro: LE2117, LE2119, LE2120

OnePlus 9 series is predicted to debut in Q1 2021. The 2 smartphones are expected to launch in March or April 2021. Before the rumored launch, OnePlus 9 series codenames and model numbers are leaked. This year OnePlus has codenamed “Lemonade” for the OnePlus 9 series.
Previously, tipster Max J had posted a graphic teaser that exposed the OnePlus 9 series codename. While specifications of the 2 devices are unknown, TechDroider has leaked the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro codenames.

Network sources claim that within the case of OnePlus 9, the corporate will increase the number of devices within the series to 3. Although, one shouldn’t exclude the choice that the smartphone will enter the market just like the OnePlus 9T. Speaking of the specifications of the new OnePlus 9 line are the Snapdragon 875 chip, an OLED screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, IP68 protection, a few stereo speakers, and NFC.
The fast-charging power should be 65W. There’ll be no sub-screen camera here, but they’re going to offer a round hole within the center of the upper part of the display.
As per a report by TechDroider, the OnePlus 9 series will get a mid-product refresh that’s almost like the T lineup just like the OnePlus 8T. Now, this might just be the successor, i.e, OnePlus 9T, or an entirely new product lineup. Let’s await more leaks as we march ahead (no pun intended).
