Only a few weeks ago, OnePlus took the wraps off OnePlus 8T, and new leaks of the company’s next flagship, OnePlus 9 started surfacing online. OnePlus 9 is expected to launch sometime in March 2021.
As of now, we don’t know much about the specifications of the OnePlus 9. 91Mobiles reported that the OnePlus 9’s display could be larger than 6.55 inches. The report conveys that the display will be Full-HD+ AMOLED like that of the OnePlus 8T. A display will come with a flat panel like the OnePlus 8T. This means the company has gotten over fancy curved displays for non-Pro models. The display is expected to come with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
As per a leaked CAD render, the OnePlus 9 would feature a hole-punch display placed towards the left corner of the phone. In the rear, there will be a triple camera setup that looks like a hybrid version of Galaxy Note 20 and LG Velvet.
OnePlus 9 might come with a Snapdragon 875 chipset, which is set to launch in December this year. Other speculations include 65W Warp Charge and OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11.
So far, the alleged CAD render has received mixed reactions among other tipsters. All About Samsung’s Max Jambor tweeted “this CAD is inaccurate.” He further claimed that the render does not match the information he already has. It seems, as of now, until we get an official teaser or leak from other reputed tipsters, we can’t fully rely on this render. We will keep on updating as soon as we have some relevant and trustable information.
