OnePlus 7T has been launched in India today; Check out the price, specs and features

OnePlus 7T is finally launched in New Delhi, India. The launch event has been live streamed on YouTube. Co-founder of OnePlus, Carl Pei claimed that OnePlus is the top premium smartphone brand in India and in the global market, it is one of the top four companies. In the event, OnePlus announced that they will plant 27333 trees in India. Apart from OnePlus 7T, OnePlus is also going to launch OnePlus TV in India today.

As far as the display is concerned, OnePlus 7T is going to come with a 6.5 inches Fluid AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The screen has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and it comes with a waterdrop notch. The tech giant revealed that from now on, OnePlus phones will come with this 90 Hz refresh rate. The display has a touch response of 40 milliseconds and it comes with a handful of new animation optimizations. In short, all new gestures have been optimized in order to make use of the 90 Hz refresh rate.

OnePlus 7T comes with HDR10+ support for not only Amazon Prime and Netflix but also for YouTube. The peak brightness of the device is over 1000 nits. Along with this, there is also a Chromatic reading mode which will provide low saturated colors. It should be noted that Chromatic reading mode feature is not really new to OnePlus but with this device, it has made a major up gradation of the technology used. So far, OnePlus used to offer monochrome in its reading mode and it has been upgraded to low saturated colors.

In the launch event of OnePlus 7T, OnePlus said that this is the era of blogging so the company has improved the video taking capabilities of OnePlus 7T. OnePlus 7T comes with Super Stable. Super Stable uses the gyroscope and EIS to provide super steady video to the users.

As far as the camera is concerned, OnePlus 7T sports a triple camera setup: a 48 MP main sensor, a 16 MP ultra wide sensor with 117 degree field of view, and a 2X telephoto camera. The triple camera setup is housed in a circular design. OnePlus disclosed that the frosted matte finish on the phone has been in the works for two years.

According to the company, massively improvements were made over the photo taking capabilities of the OnePlus 7T. With this device, users can capture macro shots which can take focused shots from as close as 2.5 cm. OnbePlus has also improved its Nightscape and Portrait modes with this device. From now on, in the Nightscape mode, users will be able to shoot with the ultra wide lens!

OnePlus 7T is going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus. Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus sports new-age Kryo cores clocked to 2.96 GHz. As far as the graphics unit is concerned, the new GPU performs 15 % better than the previous OnePlus device GPU.  The device runs on 8 GB RAM and offers a UFS 3.1 storage of up to 256 GB ROM.

OnePlus introduced Warp Charge 30T technology with this device. Warp Charge 30T technology is 23 % faster than the charging technology used in OnePlus 7 Pro.

OnePlus 7T is going to be the first smartphone to run in out of the box Android 10. It should be noted that the previous two models of OnePlus, the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro have already received the update for Android 10.

Apart from these, the company has made some minor improvements in the Gallery app. From now on, the phone will be able to recognize photos and categorize them depending upon people and location and all this happens automatically. OnePlus has also revealed OnePlus Cloud Storage with this device and announced that for the first year, users will get an additional 50 GB of storage totally free of cost. OnePlus 7T comes in two color variants -Frosted Silver and Glacier Blue.

As far as price is concerned, the OnePlus 7T 128GB variant priced at Rs. 37,999 and the 256GB storage version comes with a price tag of Rs. 39,999. It will be available from and from September 28th.
