OnePlus 7 Pro will have UFS 3.0, HDR 10+ display; confirms OnePlus

We have one more confirmation from OnePlus regarding its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 7 Pro. We have already known most of the details regarding OnePlus 7 Pro thanks to leaks or official announcement. As we have known so far, OnePlus is touting its OnePlus 7 Pro display as the best display ever seen on any smartphone. In this recent announcement, OnePlus has revealed a major feature of OnePlus 7 Pro’s display.

OnePlus reveals that OnePlus 7 Pro will have an HDR 10+ supported display. This means that you can see HDR+ content on your OnePlus 7 Pro’s display which was not possible earlier. Also, this display is already known to be a Quad HD AMOLED one which will have curved sides. This means that the display on the OnePlus 7 Pro is indeed going to be great. However, we also know that OnePlus 7 Pro is also expected to be priced higher than ever. According to leaked pricing details, OnePlus 7 Pro will start at Rs. 49,999 in India.

OnePlus, in its announcement, also reveals that OnePlus 7 Pro will have UFS 3.0 storage too. This will be an upgrade from the UFS 2.1 storage seen on every other smartphone. This also makes OnePlus 7 Pro the first smartphone to launch with this storage. Earlier, Samsung announced its Galaxy Fold with UFS 3.0. But we now know that Galaxy Fold’s release has been delayed until further announcements.

Therefore, OnePlus 7 Pro will possibly become the fastest smartphone in the market right now due to its fast storage. We know that read and write speeds make a huge difference in performance and this smartphone will definitely do the same. OnePlus has already announced that OnePlus 7 Pro will be announced globally on May 14 in India and US simultaneously. In the US, OnePlus 7 Pro is expected to be available starting at $699 along with the OnePlus 7 which will reportedly start at $579.
