Flagship smartphone brands collaborating with supercar brands has now become a trend. Previously, we have seen the same steps taken by OnePlus to collaborate with McLaren and now iQOO is following in the same footsteps. Earlier this year in August, the iQOO 5 series was launched in China with flagship specifications like the Snapdragon 865 SOC, a 50-megapixel with Samsung GN1 sensor, 120W Fast Charging, etc. Well now, iQOO has given us the official first check out of the upcoming iQOO 7 BMW Edition by sharing a picture showing the rear design of the phone with a BMW theme on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo.
iQOO has been great in terms of performance and reliability. We have already seen the BMW edition with the iQOO 5-series, more specifically the iQOO 5 Pro. Again, in this edition, Vivo the mother brand of iQOO has chosen a similar design and the BMW theme. iQOO, in the Weibo Post, shared the first official look of the upcoming flagship iQOO 7-series.
In terms of the design and looks of the smartphone, the image shows the “BMW Edition” of the iQOO 7 since we will see an identical 3-stripes design that we saw on the iQOO 5 Pro BMW Special Edition. we will also notice the text on the center strip that says, “Fascination Meets Innovation”. Just in case you don’t know, it’s the slogan of BMW M Motorsport. Other design includes an oblong camera module that has the triple camera setup, and therefore the three cameras are arranged in a triangular manner. We don’t see any Periscope-style telephoto lens on the rear, so this is often definitely the iQOO 7 and not the 7 Pro since the iQOO 5 Pro had a 5X Periscope camera on the rear.
The thing about the camera layout is that if you look closely, the cameras are arranged just like the vertices of a triangle. Also, they resemble tons just like the Vivo X50 and therefore the upcoming X60 series of smartphones. There’s an LED flashlight beneath the housing and has iQOO branding beside it. Additionally, the White rear panel has vertical BMW stripes on the proper side. Although Vivo hasn’t explicitly mentioned it, the likelihood is sort of high now.
On the front side, there is a small punch-hole camera housing at the left-top corner of the screen. Also, in the Qualcomm Summit, vivo announced that they are working with Qualcomm for the Snapdragon 888 SoC, so we can expect the new SoC with the iQOO 7 series. Other than these, we don’t any further information about the smartphone, like launch date, other specifications, etc.
