Microsoft announced a new tablet in their portfolio earlier this year. This tablet was named as the Microsoft Surface Go. The Surface Go is an entry-level Surface product from Microsoft aimed at casual tablet users. Now, it is a fact that Android tablets have not at all fared well in the market. Also, people have started to think that tablets are a dead commodity. However, Apple’s iPad lineup still thrives which is a sign that tablets are not dead yet.
To cash in on this and give Apple a stiff competition, Microsoft has launched the Surface Go. Now, the tablet was already announced in the US for $399. But the Indian launch of this tablet took too long on the part of Microsoft. Finally, the launch of Microsoft Surface Go is happening and it is coming very soon. We have known that Surface Go will be available on Flipkart from December 27.
On the other hand, the pricing of this tablet from Microsoft has been bumped up a fair bit from its international pricing. This is because the Surface Go starts at $399 which is close to Rs. 28,000 in India. But we have known that the Surface Go will start on Flipkart at Rs. 37,999. This is an Rs. 10,000 price difference between International and Indian pricing.
Now, we know that there are taxes and other charges included in this but it is still a bummer for Indian users.
Anyways, Microsoft Surface Go comes with a 10-inch display and is a hybrid between a tablet and laptop. You can also attach a keyboard to this tablet for use on-the-go. This tablet is powered by a Pentium processor rather than an Intel Core processor but it is still powerful for a tablet. The Surface Go from Microsoft comes with Windows 10 on S Mode.
Microsoft claims that S Mode powered Windows 10 is better for security and privacy purposes. For the starting price of Rs. 37,999, you will get Microsoft Surface Go with 4GB RAM whereas the 8GB RAM variant costs Rs. 49,999.
