According to the latest news, American tech giant, Apple, will come up with its very first 5G iPhone handset series soon. The report conveys that Apple will be using Sony’s LiDAR camera lens in the iPhone 12. As we all know, the company will come up with not one but a handful of iPhone 12 iterations such as iPhone Pro and iPhone Max too. Specifically, this technology will be integrated into Apple iPhone 12 Pro.

However some reports also convey that it might also be seen in Apple iPhone 12 Max. This Lidar system is manufactured by Sony. This technology uses light pulses to accurately measure the distance of an object and the camera lens.  Some necessary data will simply make the autofocus of the camera even better. This information will help the camera to distinguish between the foreground and background in a better way so, with this, the autofocus will get more accuracy.

Apart from this, the depth camera will help augmented reality applications to place artificial digital objects more realistically.

The four models are one 5.4 inches iPhone 12, one 6.1 inches iPhone 12 Plus, one 6.1 inches iPhone 12 Pro, and one 6.8 inches iPhone 12 Pro Max. Only the high-end model/s will use Sony Lidar technology. All four devices will use OLED displays and support 5G. The high-end iPhones will come with a triple rear camera setup while the low-end models will use dual rear cameras.
