According to the latest news, Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has officially announced that the HarmonyOS 2.0 Beta developer conference would be held on 16th December. The company has come up with a released a press release to announce this. The press release highlights the agenda of the event in length.
As the name suggests, the main highlight of the event is going to be HarmonyOS 2.0 beta. Note that back in September, Huawei first unveiled HarmonyOS 2.0 at the company’s Developer’s Conference 2020 event.
Huawei disclosed that HarmonyOS 2.0 incorporates smartphone adaptability for the first time so a beta test version for smartphones would be launched at the end of the year exclusively for developers. Later on, the company disclosed that the new OS will be unveiled in December.
Huawei Mate 40 will be the first device to run HarmonyOS 2.0 Beta. The OS will come with DevEco Studio 2.0 one stop distributed application development platform and mobile phone emulator. The event will also have in attendance HarmonyOS technical experts/developers with the help of which attendees will be able to interact face to face with each other.
The company will release the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta mobile phone developer plan where the company’s development experts will discuss the key features of the HarmonyOS 2.0 mobile phone beta. HarmonyOS full scene innovation cases will be shared by app partners.
Back in October, Dr. Wang Chenglu, the president of Huawei’s Consumer Business Software department hinted that the adaptation of Hongmeng OS 2.0 and stated that the new OS is expected in December. Then in November, Mao Yumin, vice president of Huawei’s software department, said that Huawei’s Hongmeng mobile phone developer Beta version will release on 16th December.
Models running EMUI 11 will be upgraded with the latest iteration of HarmonyOS first.
