Back to back, Google’s cloud gaming service, Stadia, has been adding new features and games. In the last month, an APK teardown claimed that the Google cloud gaming service will soon add an Uplay+ bundle for fans of Ubisoft’s titles. According to the latest news, today, Google has confirmed the same by announcing a bunch of Ubisoft’s games for its cloud service.
Google in its blog post has listed out the name of the upcoming games that will be added to its Stadia platform. The list includes the following games:
- Watch Dogs
- Watch Dogs 2
- Assassin’s Creed Origins
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate
- Assassin’s Creed Unity
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands
- Far Cry 5
- Far Cry New Dawn
However, the Google post does not mention a firm release date of any of the games. It is more like a confirmation from Google’s side that these games will be added in the Stadia platform in the near future. Note that all these games are well known but old. Apart from these older games, Google has also confirmed that new Ubisoft titles will also be included in its cloud gaming platform.
Some reports have revealed that Watch Dogs Legion will be added in the platform from 29th October 2020 and it will be followed up by Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Far Cry 6. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be made available from 10th November 2020 and Far Cry 6 will be made available in February 2021.
To be honest, it is not a surprise that Google is promoting its cloud gaming service by adding new games steadily in in the platform. Recently, Google has service recently added games like Hitman and Metro Last Light Redux in Stadia. Interestingly, it also added Marvel’s Avengers for pre orders.
Recently, Google has been focusing on improving Stadia on a fair pace even though it is not available on the newly launched Chromecast with Google TV.
