Google’s upcoming mid-range smartphones will be called Pixel 3a and 3a XL

It is known that Google is coming up with a new mid-range smartphone. And this smartphone is expected to be targeted towards the Indian audience. Now, there are more details revealed regarding Google’s upcoming mid-range smartphones. Well, these smartphones will also come under the Pixel series from Google. Also, these smartphones are most likely to be called the Pixel 3a and 3a XL. The design of these smartphones will remain the same as the Pixel 3 series. However, the change will be in the material used for smartphones.

It is expected that Google will use polycarbonate material on the Pixel 3a series. This will be slightly less premium than the metal-glass build of the Pixel 3 series. Apart from that, one report also says that Google Pixel 3a’s photos are identical to Pixel 3’s. However, there is a difference in the camera performance as the processing power of Pixel 3a will be lower than Pixel 3.

According to the latest report from 9to5Google, Google’s upcoming Pixel 3a series will have two smartphones. Similar to the Pixel 3 series, Pixel 3a series will have a smaller and larger variant. The smaller variant, Pixel 3a, will have a 5.6-inch display. Pixel 3a XL, on the other hand, will come with a larger 6-inch display. The devices are not expected to have a notch. Also, Pixel 3a series devices will have a single camera on the front and back.

Pixel 3a series will feature displays with 18:9 aspect ratio which further confirms the non-existence of a notch. Also, Pixel 3a series will retain the Active Edge feature from Pixel 3. With Active Edge, you can squeeze your smartphone to perform certain actions such as triggering the assistant etc.

Pixel 3a is expected to have a Snapdragon 670 SoC whereas Pixel 3a XL should have a Snapdragon 710 chipset. These devices will also have 18W fast charging with a 3000 mAh battery capacity.
