According to the latest news, Google has announced in a tweet that for free Google Meet users, it will not limit the call time frame to 60 minutes at the end of March. After opening the service for free users, this is the second time that Google has pushed back the introduction of call limits. Initially, Google announced that a 60-minutes limit will come into effect after September 2020. Google pushed the deadline till March 2021 and now till 30th June 2021.
Google has not explicitly specified why it is extending the deadline again and again. It seems the continued pandemic restrictions in some places around the world have something to do with it. Take a note that most probably, Google won’t extend the latest deadline again.
