Fossil Group announces 7 touchscreen smartwatches in India

Fossil Group has made a major announcement in India. The Fossil Group has announced 7 new smartwatches in the Indian market. These smartwatches are announced in the 6 different brands that are operated by Fossil Group. Now, all of these smartwatches are touchscreen ones. It is also known that Fossil’s smartwatches come at a premium and same is the case this time too. The 6 different brands of Fossil Group are Fossil, Skagen, Micheal Kors, Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange and Diesel.

The 7 smartwatches released among these 6 brands are also unveiled. For the Fossil brand, Fossil Group has launched Fossil Gen 4 Smartwatch Venture HR and Explorist HR. The Skagen Halster 2 is launched in the Skagen brand.

The other smartwatch is Michael Kors Access Runway in the Michael Kors brand. Finally, Emporio Armani Connected for Emporio Armani is launched. The other 2 smartwatches are A|X Armani Exchange Connected for Armani Exchange and Diesel Full Guard for Diesel.

Now, all of these 7 smartwatches run on WearOS by Google. These smartwatches have the Snapdragon Wear 2100 Platform SoC on the inside. As mentioned earlier, all 7 of these smartwatches have touchscreen displays.

Apart from that, these smartwatches come with Bluetooth technology, wireless syncing and magnetic charging, compatibility with iOS 9.3+ and Android 4.4+ and long battery life. Do note that Android Go edition smartphones are currently not supported.

There are more features in the Fossil Group’s smartwatches too. These include sensors such as heart rate, GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light and microphone. All of these sensors are necessary for a smartwatch and a premium one at that. Now, the Fossil Group’s smartwatches start at Rs. 19,995 and are already available in India.

On the launch, Gautam Sharma, Vice President Brand Strategy-APAC addressed the media. “Since our entry into the smartwatch market three years ago, it has been Fossil’s mission to meld technology and design,”, Gautam said.
