Early Renders Reveal Samsung Galaxy A72 5G Design and Looks

Samsung has been showing off its next mid-range Galaxy A72 for quite a while. We already knew a few specs but didn’t have any idea about the design and look. As the predecessor Galaxy A71 5G, was launched earlier this year in April, so we didn’t expect the successor this early. The Galaxy A72 5G was first surfaced online in mid-September, and now, we have the design and looks from the recently leaked renders.

The Galaxy A72 5G is expected to house a Penta camera setup at the rear and a single punch-hole camera at the front. We didn’t know much about the specs and the design of the upcoming A72, the recently leaked renders reveal the design and look of the smartphone. According to Steve Hemmerstoffe aka OnLeaks (via Voice), the Galaxy A72 will feature a quad-camera set up at the rear instead of the earlier depicted five cameras set up.

The basic design of the Galaxy A72 somehow resembles the Galaxy A52 5G, which is yet to launched and the launch is scheduled for late 2021. The same Infinity-O display on the front with the hole-punch cutout placed within the middle, the similar Quad camera array on the rear, the same rear panel, formed of Glossy plastic or what Samsung likes to call it “Glasstic”. The only difference that we can see is that the size of the screen in both the smartphones, the Galaxy A52 5G features a 6.5-inch display, and the Galaxy A72 5G will most probably have a 6.7-inch panel.

Speaking of the specifications of the smartphone, Galaxy A72 5G will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display panel, with a punch-hole ‘Infinity-O’ camera cutout and an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor. The dimension of the smartphone is expected to be 165 x 77.4 x 8.1mm and 9.9 mm thick with the camera bump at the rear. Even the thick camera bump can be observed from the renders themselves.

From the renders, we can say that it will include the Type-C port for charging and file transfer, and fortunately, the 3.5 mm headphone jack still exists in the lower portion of the smartphone along with the charging port. And as the name suggests, it will be equipped with 5G connectivity.

Other than these, we, right now don’t have any idea about the SoC, memory, storage, or battery capacity. The Galaxy A71 5G is currently being sold in the US for $364.99, so we can expect the pricing of the Galaxy A72 5G in-between $500 to $550.
