According to the latest news, today, renowned drone maker DJI has upgraded its tiny gimbal camera for bloggers. DJI has launched DJI Pocket 2 which is a successor to the original Osmo Pocket. The best part is, the company has still kept it as pocketable as its predecessor. DJI Pocket 2 offers you an upgraded sensor, improved audio recording, and a new modular design.

DJI Pocket 2 boasts the same design as its predecessor. It comes with a tiny camera stabilized by a three-axis gimbal and a grip with a display and controls. DJI Pocket 2 sports a bigger 1/1.7 inches 64 MP sensor as compared to the 1/1.23 inches 12 MP sensor in its predecessor. This is a major upgrade because this update allows you to click 16 MP or full size 64 MP photos. Though the maximum video resolution remains the same at 4K @60 fps this time, the device comes with HDR support.

The camera also supports up to 8x zoom in 64 MP mode and up to 4x lossless zoom in 16 MP mode. The new audio recording hardware can be considered as another major update. DJI has completely reworked the audio system with this device.

Moreover, the microphones are backed by features like Direction Audio which offers enhanced sound recording, Audio Zoom which offers to capture audio from a specific region when zooming in. There is also an option for wind noise reduction.

DJI Pocket 2 supports a wide range of shooting modes. The list includes panorama, time lapse, hyper lapse, Active Track 3.0, and many more. Note that this tiny equipment even supports a Pro Mode which comes with more control over camera settings.

As far as design is concerned, DJI Pocket 2 brings along a new modular design. The base of the handle can be replaced with a variety of accessories. Users are allowed to attach a micro tripod, a do it all handle, a speaker, a wireless microphone receiver, a Wi-Fi module, and a Bluetooth module in it.

DJI has tagged DJI Pocket 2 with a price tag of US $ 349 for the standard kit. Note that the standard kit includes a Mini Control Stick and tripod mount. However, if you want to get additional accessories such as a micro tripod and a wide angle lens then you will have to shell out US $ 499.
