According to the latest news, Dell is going to launch as many as three new monitors next month and all of them will come with a dedicated Microsoft Teams button. The company is claiming that it has created the “world’s first videoconferencing monitors certified for Microsoft Teams,” after Microsoft started certifying displays, webcams, and headsets from last year. This Microsoft Teams button will let Microsoft Teams users quickly launch the app to make and receive video calls. It will also support hands-free commands through Cortana and the built-in microphone.
Note that this is the very first time that we will be seeing the Microsoft Teams button on a monitor. Previously, we have only seen these on devices from headset manufacturers. Last year, new and existing headphones got deeper integration with Microsoft Teams as the usage of the app was soaring during the outbreak of the pandemic.
Though the Microsoft Teams button is the main surprise, all the three videoconferencing monitors will come with some other useful specs too which are designed for remote work and video calling. Each of the monitors will come with a 5 MP pop up infrared camera, which supports facial recognition with Windows Hello.
Reportedly, Dell will also integrate a noise cancelling microphone and dual 5-watt integrated speakers. The company has also incorporated a built-in mode to reduce blue light emissions.
The 24 inches FHD monitor comes with a price tag of US $519.99, the 27 inches QHD monitor comes with a price tag of US $ 719.99, and the curved 34 inches WQHD monitor comes with a price tag of US $ 1,149.99.Dell will reportedly launch all three monitors on 16th February 2021.
