Coolpad 8 launched in China with MediaTek MT6750 SoC, 4GB RAM

Chinese mobile maker, Coolpad has announced its newest mid-range flagship device, Cool Play 8 in China. The device looks stunning with a notch display with a dual rear camera. Coolpad 8 is up for pre-orders though Jing Dong Mall.

The device comes with a 6.26-inch InCell IPS Full HD+ LCD with a resolution of 2246×1080 pixels. As said earlier, Coolpad 8 feature a huge notch display and back side of the device is made of 3D glasses along with some metallic patterns.

Coolpad 8 is powered by MediaTek MT6750 chipset coupled with 4 gigs of RAM and packs 64 GB ROM. Talking about the camera, the device is equipped with a dual rear camera module, 16 MP + 2 MP sensors. Also, it features an 8 MP sensor as a front-facing camera.

Don’t worry about the battery, the device is packed with a huge 4,000 mAh battery which supports fast charging through USB-C type cables. The company claims, the device can be fully charged within 120 minutes. Also, the device will run on Coolpad’s custom skin, Cool UI 9.0 (Android Version Unknown).

Overall, the design & specs are good for a mid-range smartphone. The fingerprint sensor is mounted at the back side of the device. In terms of connectivity, the Cool Play 8 include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth, WIFi, GPS and obviously with a 3.5mm headphone jack port.

Coolpad 8 will be available in two color variants, Blackish Streamer Ash and Bright Red. The device comes with a price tag of 999 Yuan (around Rs.10,000 in India). About the availability, the Coolpad 8 pre-orders will starts at 10 AM from December 21 on Jing Dong Mall.
