CES 2021 Day 2 Highlight
GM’s Flying Car Concept
General Motors (aks GM) has built the flying car. Before you get too excited, GM’s futuristic flying Cadillac car may be a mere concept at the instant, but it tells us tons about the car of the longer term. The flying vehicle is meant to carry one passenger and is fully autonomous.
General Motors took a giant leap and showed us the concept of flying cars, we all can understand that it will take a few more couples of years to get a sneak peek of this tech, but something is better than nothing, right? GM calls it the eVTOL, or (electric) Verticle TakeOff and Landing droid.
Panasonic’s Heads-up Display for Vehicle Windshields
Even I used to think that the windshield can actually be utilized for something more beneficial, and I think Panasonic heard me and come up with the concept of Display for Vehicle Windshields. Head-up displays (HUDs) are around for years in select car models, but they’re typically splashing only a minor little bit of information but Panasonic Automotive showed off its 4K-resolution AR HUD, which covers a way larger section of the windshield and mixes two-dimensional information like vehicle speed, regulation, and fuel home in the near-field view with three-dimensional overlays of navigation directions within the far-field view, which appear to be cast spatially onto the road ahead.
Razer’s Smart Mask
Yes, you heard it right, smart mask. The industry which grew last year by a huge margin is the mask and sanitizer industry. And following the trend, Razer showcased their Project Hazel, a lightweight mask with RGB lightning and voice amplifier. Other than that, it has all the features a smart mask should have, like Surgical N95 Respirator, Active Ventilation, and Auto Sterilization Function which kills bacteria and viruses as the mask charges.
Sony Airpeak Drone
Sony is already there in many markets, but not the drone market, and right now more and more people are getting their hands on these drones for various tasks. Sony on CES 2021 Day 2 announced Sony Airpeak Drone, and interestingly it has Sony’s signature Alpha Camera system which makes it more efficient than other competitors. The user can use this as professional photography and videography gear, because of the Sony Alpha Cameras.
