Bose announced its second-generation ‘SleepBuds’ and the company is claiming that this new version of SleepBud will offer users a good night’s sleep by masking noises that disrupt bedtime. The company has come up with the second generation after two years of the first generation SleepBuds. Note that the 1st generation was soon discontinued after its release because of battery issues.
Bose Sleepbuds II promises to not only mask noises like the barking of dogs, buzzing of insects, street traffic, or the snoring of your partner but also play soothing tracks to help you fall asleep.
According to Bose, the new iteration also comes with a bunch of other improvements and enhancements over its predecessor. Users can now set an alarm and adjust the volume through the ‘Bose Sleep’ App. The app is available for free on both Android and iOS platforms.
The new device which is IPX4 rated for water and sweat resistance includes14 noise masking tracks, 15 nature capes and 10 tranquilities. The device comes with a new NiMH battery which according to the company will offer up to 10 hours of usage with a single charge.
The company said that the device brings a number of innovative new technologies to ensure better and deeper sleep with fewer interruptions through the night. In an official statement, the company said: “Bose noise-masking technology combines passive noise blocking with optimized noise-masking sounds to cover up disruptions that may otherwise wake you … Our sounds are optimized to play consistently and at just the right mix of frequencies to make unwanted noise less perceptible to your brain.”
Bose claims that the device will stay in place and offer comfort throughout the night. The buds come with an ultra-lightweight design and can hold as many as 35 tracks. Bose Sleepbuds II is tagged with a price tag of US $ 249.95. It can be pre-ordered from the company website. Retail sales will begin on 6th October 2020.
