We have seen wireless routers that support 50Mbps, 100Mbps, or even 1Gbps of speeds. However, it is generally the case that we do not have that much of speeds from our internet service providers to support the routers. However, if you have an internet connection that has more than 1Gbps of internet speeds then you might be wondering about your options. Thus, Asus has got you covered now with the launch of its latest wireless router. The company has just launched a wireless router and it supports speeds that are unbelievably fast.

Usually, we have seen routers with the support of up to 150Mbps or more. However, the Asus wireless router supports speeds up to 4,804Mbps on the 5GHz band and up to 1,148Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. As we mentioned earlier, it is not the case that an average user will have these kinds of speeds.

However, these routers are mostly useful for work conditions where there are multiple 4K videos being streamed or playing games in multi-player conditions. Also, this type of wireless routers can be used in the intra-LAN and inter-LAN type of connections too which generally require much higher speeds.

Talking about the LAN ports on this wireless router, Asus has fitted 8 of them on this one. Now, we usually have 4 LAN ports even in high-end routers so more ports are definitely welcome for better connectivity in a single router. The interesting part about this router, however, is that Asus announced this wireless router at CES last year. This year’s CES is just around the corner and the wireless router took one year to be available for purchase.

Nonetheless, if you want to purchase this wireless router then you have to spend $350. Apart from that, this wireless router supports Wi-Fi 6 which is a new naming system given by the Wi-Fi Alliance. This means that the Wi-Fi routers which were earlier known as 802.11ax will now be called as Wi-Fi 6 routers.
