Only a few months ago, Apple officially started transitioning its Mac devices from Intel chipsets to its own ARM based Apple Silicon chipsets. Apple M1 chipset is the first such Apple Silicon chipset. It seems the process that started with MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini will continue this year.
Some reports indicate that Apple might launch two new MacBook Pro devices this year. The two MacBook Pro devices will be of 14 inches and 16 inches in terms of size. Both of them will be powered by a new Apple Silicon chipset. As days are passing, we are getting more new leaks and rumors about the two devices.
According to a new report, the upcoming Apple MacBook Pro will be available in two sizes: 14 inches and 16 inches. The screen will feature a Mini LED backlight display. The report also conveys that Ruiyi Optoelectronics will be the exclusive supplier of these new Mini LED panels while Quanta Computer will be responsible for the final assembling.
As of now, the launch date is not known but the report indicates that the devices will go official in the second half of this year. There are reports that suggest that Apple will bring back the MagSafe magnetic charging to the MacBook. It seems that Apple is looking forward to getting rid of the TouchBar and replace them with physical function keys.
Other than the new MacBook Pro models, Apple is also planning to launch a new 12.9 inches iPad Pro equipped with a Mini-LED display in the first half of this year. The launch date of the iPad Pro is still unknown but it is expected to go official by next month.
