Apple announces a new event to be held on March 25 in Cupertino

Apple has ended tons of rumours regarding its upcoming event with the official announcement. The company has sent out invites to the media for an event scheduled for March 25. This event will take place at Apple’s newly-built spaceship headquarters in Cupertino, San Francisco. Now, we expect that the event will be exclusively focused on Apple’s services only. We know that Apple is all set to release its new TV streaming service. At this event, Apple is expected to make this service official.

Apart from that, Apple is expected to launch a new service which will be focused on News. This latest service from Apple will be a subscription-based News service. For this service, Apple is trying to get as many publishers on its platform as possible. However, there is one major roadblock in this push from Apple. And the issue from the company itself regarding revenue cut.

Reportedly, Apple wants to take a 50% revenue cut from publishers for its subscription-based News service. This has not gone down well with the publishers who have straight up refused to join this platform. But we expect that Apple will bring down its revenue cut demand to attract as many publishers as possible.

Talking about the invitation, Apple has bundled a GIF which counts down from 4..3..2..1 and reads “It’s show time” at the end. This clearly indicates that Apple is betting big on its TV streaming service and will definitely make the announcement on March 25.

We might also see the announcement of new hardware at this Apple event though. This includes the possibility of a release date for Apple AirPods 2 and Apple AirPower wireless charging pad. Also, we might see the launch of Apple’s rumoured budget iPad which will be targeted towards the developing markets like India. Therefore, we need to wait for Apple’s upcoming event to get the official details.
