Today, at its Time Flies event, American tech giant Apple has announced its latest smartwatch, Apple Watch Series 6. It comes with a design more or less similar to Series 5, but as far as features are concerned, it adds a bunch of new ones including a new health sensor. Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a health sensor that can measure your blood oxygen levels. In order to do this perfectly, the watch’s sensors shine red and infrared light on your wrist, and then it uses the color of your blood to calculate the blood oxygen level.
Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a brand new S6 system under the hood. The device is based on the A13 Bionic chipset. The company stated that the new processor is 20% faster than the S5 processor which was found in its predecessor. Like any other Apple Watch, the latest one also adds a bunch of new watch faces including a new GMT face that shows multiple time zones. There is also a new Memoji face among a bunch of others.
Apple has announced a new type of watch band for this Apple Watch. The company named it as the Solo Loop. It is a single-piece band made out of custom silicone that has no clasp or loop. The band is stretchable to such an extent that it can easily slip on a wide range of wrist sizes. There is also a Braided Solo Loop for people who like to show off.
The new Apple Watch Series 6 comes with a price tag of US $ 399. The company has also launched a brand new Apple Watch SE to bring the design aspects of the Series 6 to a wider audience. This Watch SE comes with a price tag of US $ 279. It brings the S5 system in package. In simple words, this means, in Apple Watch SE, users will get the same processor that is found inside Apple Watch Series 5. The company claims that it is at least two times faster than the processor inside Apple Watch Series 3 which came with a price tag of US $ 199.
The company has come out with a brilliant strategy here. The company is releasing both the smartwatches together. People who will find the US $ 400 a little more expensive for a smartwatch, can go for Apple Watch SE instead of going for Apple Watch Series 6. Both Apple Watch Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE will be available for pre-ordering from today onwards and it will hit the sales from Friday.
