According to the latest news, Apple has launched a free display replacement program in order to allow iPhone 11 users to replace their phone’s display with a touch or a glitch issue. However, this program is not applicable to each and every iPhone 11 device; it is only applicable to a small percentage of iPhone 11 units that are manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020.
Apple announced that it is offering a display replacement program for 2 years after the first retail sale of the device. Apple clearly mentioned that no other iPhone models are part of this free replacement program.
It seems that the hardware fault must have just affected some iPhone 11 models so if you are facing any weird touch response issues on your iPhone 11, you can make use of the program. The first thing that you have to do is, check whether your iPhone 11 device is eligible for the program. Use the serial number checker on the company’s website.
If you are not aware, what is the serial number of your device, all you have to do is go to your handset ‘Settings’ then to ‘General’. After this, tap on ‘About’. Alternatively, if you still have the invoice with you, you will be able to check your phone’s serial number from there. Alternatively, if you have the phone’s original box, you can check out the barcode to find the serial number.
After checking out, if you found that your iPhone 11 device is eligible for replacement then you can contact one of the Apple authorized service providers to proceed with the free replacement. Apple recommended user to back up data to iCloud or desktop before proceeding.
You might have identified the issue months back and already fixed the issue with professional help. In that case, Apple is offering a generous refund of the repairing cost. You can contact Apple’s customer support to claim a refund.
