According to the latest news, after adding a brand new map and its first-ever vehicle, popular battle royale title, Apex Legends is set to introduce some major changes with Season 8. Season 8 will go live in a couple of days ahead of the game’s second anniversary on 2nd February 2021. As per reports, Apex Legends will launch Nintendo Switch on the same day.
For quite some time, there were rumours about Respawn launching the game on Nintendo Switch. In fact, the developers even delayed the Switch version of Apex Legends last year. In the recent “Stories from the Outlands” video, fans have spotted major hints that suggest Respawn will be launching the Nintendo Switch version along with its upcoming season on 2nd February.
Respawn will launch a new “Legend” (an in-game character) in its new season dubbed “Mayhem”. The company released the video in various regions and in different languages so some fans spotted additional texts in the description. For example, the Japanese version of the video somewhat confirms the launch of the Switch version of Apex Legends directly.
As per reports, the additional text was written along with other game-related information in the video description which reads, “And on February 2nd, it will possible to play on Switch at the same time as the start of Season 8!”
Note that the text was not present in the English version of the latest video. Overall, it seems Respawn is ready to launch the game on the new platform on 2nd February 2021. As of now, Apex Legends is available for PlayStation 4 and 5, PC, and the Xbox lineup. There is no news when the game might be available for mobile devices. The mobile version got delayed even though, EA had already confirmed it.
